Dr Michael Taplin has an interest in adult and paediatric Otolaryngology. After obtaining his fellowship to the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) in 2004, Michael undertook training in Toronto, Canada, working at the Toronto General Hospital and the Hospital for Sick Children (Sick Kids) under the guidance of world experts: Drs John Rutka, Jerry Halik and Blake Papsin.
He has held the position of Visiting Medical Officer to Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick since 2006.
Dr Taplin is also a Otolaryngologist at the Chatswood Private Hospital, Mater, Prince of Wales Private Hospital, Hunters Hill Private, and Pittwater Day Surgery.
He is the proud father of three outstanding young girls, who continue to educate him. He is passionate about AFL, cycling, music, cooking and travelling. When not at work, he is likely to be trying to keep up with his wife and children on a ski slope!
