Dr Matthew Lin is a dermatologist and Mohs surgeon based in Sydney. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Melbourne and his specialist qualification from the Australasian College of Dermatologists. He completed a fellowship year in advanced dermatologic surgery at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. He completed his second fellowship in Mohs surgery before being appointed to the hospital faculty at Mount Sinai. While working in New York, Dr Lin performed a large volume of complex procedures, working with world authorities in Mohs surgery and skin cancer reconstruction.
Dr Lin is accredited by the Australasian College of Dermatologists, the American College of Mohs Surgeons, the American Council for Graduate Medical Education, the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. He remains up to date with best practices in dermatology and serves as a peer reviewer for leading dermatology journals. He is actively involved in research and has received grants and awards for his academic work. His current research is focused on improving outcomes in Mohs surgery.
Dr Lin sees private patients at several central locations in Sydney. He works in the public hospital system at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.
