Credentialing Process

Doctors seeking accreditation at the Hospital have several options.

1. If a you are accredited at another Ramsay facility and all paperwork is in order, please advise the Executive Assistant on (02) 8876 9317 and arrangements can be made to access this information.
   
   Please note that you will still need to complete the Application form for Hunters Hill Private Hospital, the WWCC form and the Insurance Authority form.  In addition, where the other facility/s are not able to provide all required supporting documentation or recent documentation you will need to provide copies of these.
   

2. Accreditation documentation is able to be downloaded directly, completed and emailed or faxed to us at (02) 9879 3831.

3. Alternatively you can contact the Executive Assistant on (02) 8876 9317 and request the information to be forwarded to you by email, fax or mail.

Please note that your application will  be able to be processed more promptly if you ensure that the following are included:

• Copy of current medical registration
• Copy of current medical indemnity insurance showing relevant specialty covered and expiry date
• Copy of CV
• Copy of your MBBS and any other relevant post graduate qualifications
• Written references will be requested from the referees

Review of Credentialing Application

• Upon receiving your completed application, the application will be reviewed by the CEO of Hunters Hill Private Hospital together with the Specialty Medical Advisory Committee Representative

• At this point temporary accreditation may be granted for a short period of time

• Supported applications are then referred to the Medical Advisory Credentialing Committee Meeting (held quarterly) for consideration

• Upon endorsement by the Medical Advisory Committee, the doctor’s names and details are referred to the Ramsay Board for ratification

• A letter confirming Accreditation at Hunters Hill Private Hospital will then be forwarded to the doctor.
